MySQL version

Author: rootsql Date: 20-01-2014, 20:26

There is a special MySQL function VERSION() which returns current server version:

SELECT VERSION();

 Also, it is possible to determine version using global/session variables, e.g.:

SELECT * FROM
  INORMATION_SCHEMA.GLOBAL_VARIABLES
WHERE
 VARIABLE_NAME LIKE '%version%';
